AVAILABLE POSITIONS
Superintendent
Duties:
  1. Oversee total project supervision effort to ensure appropriate personnel, budget, and schedule are met.
  2. Participate in all preconstruction subcontractor meetings.
  3. Plan / schedule work in accordance with start-up schedule.
  4. Assist with implementation and interpretation of safety programs.
  5. Ensure all company, department, and technical policies, procedures, standards, etc., are adhered to. Interpret policies as required.
  6. Maintain all rental equipment.
  7. Control and monitor site logistics.
  8. Prepare and maintain all required documentation and records according to State & Federal compliance as well as company procedures.
  9. Conduct project meetings.
  10. Monitor quality control.
  11. See project through to close-out.
  12. Provide leadership.
  13. Lead by example and assist in training, mentoring and betterment of company resources.
Experience and Skill Set
  1. 2-5 years managing projects in the Superintendent’s capacity for commercial construction for projects up to $5M preferred.
  2. Proficient at managing work as a Superintendent for a general contractor who self-performs carpentry labor.
  3. Strong scheduling, quality, safety and field management experience.
  4. OSHA 30Hour
  5. Conduct weekly Job Box safety meetings
  6. Word, Excel and Bluebeam equivalent
  7. Scheduling software
Physical Demands:
The following are some of the physical demands commonly associated with this position:
  1. Spends approximately 70% of the time sitting, and 30% of the time either standing or walking while on the job.
  2. Requires management of multiple projects at any one time.
  3. Occasionally* lifts up to 65 lbs, and may stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance while performing these same functions.
  4. Required to climb, crawl, stoop and negotiate ladders, stairs or other routes at and within project sites in order to fulfill duties.
  5. Constantly uses verbal and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as E-Mail, telephone and radio.
  6. Constantly employs eye, hand and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery such as computer keyboard.
  7. Constantly utilizes full scope of visual capacity to travel to project sites and observe/verify project progress in addition to operating automated office equipment.

 

Project Manager
General
Provide overall management and responsibility for project success.

Duties:
  1. Lead preconstruction process including
    • Estimates
    • Scoping
    • Narratives and Qualifications
    • Schedule
    • Contracting and subcontracting
    • Project Insurance policies
    • Permitting
    • Oversight and management of Project Engineer and Project Administrator
  2. Visit jobsite to review:
    • Quality
    • Safety & general OSHA guidelines
    • Progress of project
    • Site issues and problems
    • Storm water
    • Recommend solutions to problems to Project Manager and Superintendent
  3. Provide leadership for Project Engineer and Superintendent for a successful project.
  4. Create and manage CPM schedules & provide direction to Project Engineer and subcontractors to meet schedules.
  5. Manage schedules for material and equipment deliveries, subcontractors. Provide direction to subcontractors to meet delivery dates.
  6. Manage to completion submittal log and close-out documentation. Solicits, logs and reviews submittals for accuracy and compliance with Consultants specifications. Directs subcontractors to make revisions/corrections to submittals.
  7. Execution of subcontracts and other related documents.
  8. Procure permits and assist with inspections as required
  9. Requests For Information – manage through completion.
  10. Manage punch list & closeout process.
  11. Manage construction document control & general understanding of material testing.
  12. General recognition of basic OSHA – 10hr and storm water requirements.
  13. Manage pricing through conclusion for changes during projects and change orders to Owner and subcontractors
  14. Owner/client relations

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience
  1. Minimum 10 years of on the job experience required.
  2. Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in related field from four-year college or university preferred.
  3. Efficient with Word, Excel, Bluebeam and Outlook is required
  4. RedTeam Project management software is utilized, must have computer skills to learn and adapt to changing environments.
  5. Communicate and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  6. Problem solving - deal with a variety of variable situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  7. Good attitude – able to handle change without freaking out
  8. Organized and able to track and handle lots of tasks.
  9. Dependable car – unless provided
  10. Non-tobacco user
  11. Must be able to handle a diverse environment that changes day-to-day and hour-to-hour.
  12. Willing to take on responsibilities not listed above

Project Engineer + Estimator
Duties:
  1. Create and manage estimates for small projects.
    • Issue drawings
    • Issue instructions
    • Manage pricing and scope
    • Review subcontractor pricing for completeness
  2. Visit jobsite to review:
    • Quality
    • Safety & general OSHA guidelines
    • Progress of project
    • Site issues and problems
    • Storm water
    • Recommend solutions to problems to Project Manager and Superintendent
  3. Update schedules & provide direction to subcontractors to meet schedules. Must understand CPM Scheduling.
  4. Provide support to the Project Manager for all required duties

Carpenter + Foreman
General Description
To perform all tasks requiring rough and finish carpentry skills

Specific Duties and Responsibilities – Lead and Install
  1. Layout for all craft related work
  2. Sub-trade daily coordination
  3. Site logistics coordination
  4. Participation in pre-planning activities
  5. Hollow Metal and Wood frames, Hollow Metal and Wood Doors and hardware.
  6. cabinetry and casework including upper and base cabinets, counter tops of all types, blocking for support.
  7. In-Wall blocking or sheet metal backing
  8. Lead and Install Suspended Acoustical Ceilings
  9. Install windows to include sash, sub frame, interior trim and exterior trim.
  10. Built in furniture such as wood closets, shelving, vanities, and trim.
  11. Hollow metal door frames and doors, window frames made of metal including welding.
  12. Install in-wall insulation
  13. Caulk as necessary
  14. Toilet Partitions and Accessories
  15. Fire Extinguisher Cabinets
  16. Temporary Safety controls
  17. Conduct weekly safety meetings
  18. Ability to read plans and specifications.
  19. Walk the jobsite on a daily basis to identify and communicate any potential safety hazards.
  20. Other duties as assigned.
  21. May be subject to overtime on an as needed basis
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience
  1. No specific educational requirements.
